The UMass Minutemen are looking to snag their first victory of the season against the Western Michigan Broncos on Saturday afternoon at Waldo Stadium.

UMass came painfully close to a win last weekend against the Ohio Bobcats, but it couldn't overcome a fourth-quarter deficit to lose 37-34 at home. Mike Wegzyn was excellent in the loss for the Minutemen, throwing for 373 yards and four touchdowns, including three that landed in the hands of Alan Williams.

While UMass hasn't been able to crack the win column, it's gotten very close the past two weeks and could be a serious threat this weekend.

Western Michigan is also coming off a tough loss at the hands of the Toledo Rockets in their first MAC game of the campaign. The Broncos have also had some nice wins in 2012, beating the UConn Huskies of the Big East, 30-24, on Sept. 22.
