UConn continued its dreadful stretch of play and still has yet to win a conference game, while the ranks of the unbeaten in the Big East narrowed to two with a non-conference loss for Cincinnati.
Cincinnati is still unbeaten in Big East play - they've only played one game - but lost for the first time on the year against a MAC opponent, the Toledo Rockets. The Bearcats headed on the road to face the in-state opponent and came up short, 29-23 - a loss that will only hurt them in the race for the Big East title if there's a tie, but which certainly doesn't bode well for the rest of their year.
Meanwhile, Rutgers and Louisville are still undefeated. The Scarlet Knights are 7-0 (4-0) after a dominating win against Temple, while the Cardinals barely held off a strong rally from a South Florida team that is now 0-3 in conference.
After their 40-10 loss to Syracuse, UConn is one of three teams that has not yet won a Big East game, alongside South Florida and Pitt. The Panthers won this weekend against a 1-6 Buffalo team.
