The Big East's three undefeated teams stayed undefeated, with Rutgers and Louisville winning conference games while Cincinnati handled an FCS opponent.

The Scarlet Knights were matched up against Syracuse, who made the game close late, but the Scarlet Knights moved to 6-0 and bowl eligibility with a 23-15 win. The Cardinals had a poor defensive effort and gave up five touchdowns to a lowly Pitt team, but won their conference opener, 45-35. For the Bearcats, Fordham was no contest as Cincinnati won 49-17.

Temple might be 3-2 on the year, but their victory over UConn has them second - technically - in the conference standings at 2-0 in their first year back in the conference. The Huskies are alongside South Florida and Pittsburgh as teams still looking for their first win in Big East play.

Although Temple is 2-0, it seems likely that the conference championship will come down to the three games between the remaining undefeated teams. All three were ranked in the first BCS rankings of the year, with Rutgers at No. 15, Louisville a spot below at No. 16 and Cincinnati down at No. 21.

Here's a look at the full conference standings:

Rutgers 3-0 6-0
Temple 2-0 3-2
Louisville 1-0 6-0
Cincinnati 1-0 5-0
Syracuse 1-1 2-4
Connecticut 0-2 3-4
South Florida 0-2 2-4
Pittsburgh 0-3 2-4
