Two of the strongest teams in women's hoops will face off in the final of the Bridgeport Regional of the NCAA Tournament, with the UConn Huskies hoping they can push their home court advantage to another Final Four.
UConn has been to the Final Four every year since 2008, and judging from the Huskies' play thus far this tourney, they're headed to another one. They've won their first three games by 127 points, most recently beating No. 4 Maryland -- not exactly a shabby team, finishing tied for second in the ACC -- by 26 points, 76-50. Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis had 17 points, eight rebounds, and four blocks.
But Kentucky won't roll over: the Wildcats are seeking their first Final Four appearance, and just knocked off Elena Della Donne's Delaware squad 69-62, winning despite 33 points and nine rebounds from the Blue Hens' senior. They have a player capable of going off as well in A'dia Mathies, who had 34 points in their Round of 32 game against Dayton and 16 against Delaware.
These two teams met last year, with Connecticut winning by 15.
The game is at 7:30 p.m. in the Arena at Harbor Yard, and will be broadcast on ESPN.
