Coming off their first win of the season last week against Akron, UMass had a chance to hang a crooked number in their win column. But after a 13-0 halftime lead vanished, Buffalo made all the plays at the end of the game to prevail 29-19.

The breakdowns began on special teams. Nursing a 13-0 lead in the third quarter, Minutemen punter Colter Johnson had a punt attempt blocked and returned for a touchdown. UMass responded with a touchdown of their own - a Deion Walker 38-yard touchdown catch from Mike Wegzyn - but it proved to be the final score for the Minutemen.

The Bulls scored three touchdowns in the final 17 minutes to complete the comeback and hand UMass their 10th game of the season. In their first season of FBS play, the Minutemen will have one more chance to hang a "2" in the win column against Central Michigan on Friday.

The Minutemen are no longer winless, and look to add another victory against Buffalo.

The UMass Minutemen host the Buffalo Bulls in a MAC East battle at Gillette Stadium on Saturday afternoon. UMass got their first win of the year, and their first as an FBS member, when they defeated Akron last weekend. The Minutemen are looking to make it two-straight against a suddenly hot Buffalo squad.

Buffalo is looking for a third-consecutive win after starting conference play 0-4. The Bulls are led by running back Branden Oliver. He has rushed for 801 yards and five touchdowns on just 139 carries. Oliver's stats are even more impressive considering he missed four games this season, all Buffalo losses.

UMass has been within double-digits of their opponent just twice in their inaugural MAC season, the win over Akron and a three-point loss to Ohio. They have struggled mightily on offense, and are averaging just 11.2 points per contest.

The two schools have met nine times, with UMass winning five of those contests.

Game time, TV schedule: 3 p.m. ET, No TV, but streaming video available via UMass All-Access.

Spread: Buffalo favored by 11 points.

UMass (1-9) looks for its second straight win against Buffalo (3-7) on Saturday in Foxborough, MA.

UMass finds itself in unfamiliar territory as it hosts Buffalo with a chance to win its second straight game on Saturday at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MA.

The Minutemen (1-9, 1-5 MAC) won their first FBS game last weekend against the Akron Zips on the back of a 266-yard, one-touchdown performance from quarterback Mike Wegzyn. Michael Cox rushed for 44 yards and Alan Williams had six catches for 86 wins as UMass topped Akron, 22-14. Blake Lucas kicked three field goals for the Minutemen in the process and Wegzyn ran for an additional touchdown.

Buffalo hasn't had much more success this season, going 3-7 (2-4) MAC heading into Saturday's game. After losing seven of eight games to start the year, the Bulls have won their last two games. Last weekend, Buffalo squeaked past Western Michigan, 29-24, thanks to big days from quarterback Joe Licata (285 yards, TD) and receiver Alex Neutz (nine catches, 140 yards, TD).

Saturday afternoon's game kicks off at 3 p.m. ET and will not be televised.
