With its 13th straight postseason victory on Wednesday, the UConn Huskies have virtually solidified their trip to the NCAA tournament, and will have a chance to enhance their resume on Thursday when they take on top-seeded Syracuse in the quarterfinals of the 2012 Big East tournament.

According to SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean, the Huskies currently project as a 10 seed, and one of nine Big East teams in the field. Dobbertean has UConn taking on Florida in the first round of the East Regional, with the game to be played in Greensboro, North Carolina.

As for Harvard - who has already punched its ticket with an Ivy League regular season crown - Dobbertean pegs them as a 10 seed as well, with a potential first round matchup with New Mexico in the South Regional, to be played in Omaha.

UConn moves one step closer to the Big Dance while Harvard punches its ticket without moving a muscle.

After a mild Tuesday of Championship Week basketball, SB Nation's Chris Dobbertean has come out with his latest Bracketology projections.

With a very convincing win yesterday, UConn hasn't taken itself off the bubble yet, but made a nice stride. As Dobbertean points out, the Huskies had to have that game and secured it early on. If they can win against West Virginia today, Jim Calhoun's bunch might have done enough to warrant an at-large bid.

A team that is definitely dancing is Harvard. For the first time since 1946, the Crimson are back in the NCAA Tournament after watching Penn lose to Princeton. Currently, Dobbertean has Harvard sitting on the 11 line.

Other teams that clinched automatic bids yesterday are Western Kentucky, Detroit and South Dakota State. Give the Hilltoppers of Western Kentucky credit, they overcame a coach getting fired in the middle of the season to make it. However with a 15-18 record, it's almost a certainty they'll be a No. 16 seed.
