The Harvard Crimson closed out their regular season schedule as they defeated the Cornell Big Red, 67-63 on the road at Newman Arena.

With the win, the Crimson (26-4, 12-2 IVY) clinched at least a share of the Ivy League title with the Penn Quakers, who remain a half game behind Harvard after they defeated Yale on Saturday night with one game to go. I

Oliver McNally was the high point man for the Crimson in this one with 17 points in 35 minutes on the floor. Kyle Casey finished with 11 points while Keith Wright nearly had a double-double with eight points and 11 boards.

However, the second half spark for the Crimson was from Brandyn Curry, who hit four consecutive three pointers to end a Big Red run that saw them take the lead in the second half. Curry finished the game with 12 points, all resulting from his big threes. Curry helped the Crimson carry a consistent three point attack for the Crimson in the second half, as the team finished with a three point field goal percentage of 46.2%.

A big part of why this game was so close at the end was the second half play of Big Red guard Chris Wroblewski, who finished with a game high 19 points. Wroblewski seemingly carried Cornell (12-16, 7-7 IVY) on his back and rebutted every Harvard shot with one of his own. Junior forward Eitan Chemerinski was the next top performer for the Big Red with nine points. However, it was too much Crimson in the end.

With the Crimson done with their schedule, they just have to wait and see on the state of the Ivy League Title. If the Quakers win, they will force a one-game playoff with Harvard for automatic NCAA tournament bid. If they lose, the Crimson are your champions. All they can do at this point is watch.

Kyle Casey and Laurent Rivard each have seven points as the Harvard Crimson lead the Cornell Big Red, 27-21, at halftime at the Newman Arena.

Through one half, the Crimson have displayed tremendous ball movement and time management through the first half as nearly every Harvard player on the floor touched the ball before a shot was attempted. Along with Casey and Rivard, there are others involved in the action for the Crimson. Keith Wright has five points at halftime while Oliver McNally and Christian Webster have three.

Dave LaMore is the high point man for the Big Red through one half with six points and is a perfect three of three from the field. Chris Wroblewski has four while Drew Ferry only has three. Johnathan Gray, surprisingly only has two through one half. He had 14 the last time these two played.

Even though the Crimson are struggling from the field with a 43.5% field goal percentage, but Cornell has been worse with a field goal percentage of 32.1% percent. Yuck. The difference perhaps is how much better Harvard is shooting the three ball than is Cornell. Harvard is 38.5% from beyond the arc while the Big Red is 14.3% from three point land.

The Harvard Crimson (25-4, 11-2 IVY) look to clinch at least a share of the Ivy League title with Penn on Saturday as they face the Cornell Big Red (12-15, 7-6 IVY) at Newman Arena in Ithaca, NY. (Radio: WHRB)

After defeating Columbia on Friday night with Jeremy Lin courtside, the Harvard Crimson look to do their part in clinching the Ivy League Title on Saturday as they face the Cornell Big Red at Newman Arena in Ithaca, NY.

The Crimson (25-4, 11-2 IVY) are currently sitting atop the Ivy League standings with a slim lead over the Penn Quakers. With a win over the Big Red today, Harvard would clinch at least a share of the Ivy League Title with Penn. With Penn set to play Yale this afternoon and Princeton on Tuesday, they could tie Harvard in the standings with wins in both contests. However, if Harvard wins today and they lose one of those two games, the Crimson would be the outright champion.

After scoring 19 point last night against Columbia, Kyle Casey will look to continue his red hot play on Saturday against Cornell. Casey, whose averaging 11.3 points per game this season, had 13 in the two teams' earlier meeting back on Feb. 3 at Lavietes Pavilion. The Crimson won that game, 71-60.

Sophomore guard Laurent Rivard appears to be the X-Factor for the Crimson in this game, as he led them in scoring last time out against Cornell with a season high 16 points. Senior forward Keith Wright had nine points while reserve forward Steve Moundou-Missi also had nine.

As for the Big Red (12-15, 7-6 IVY), they've had contributions from several different players. As of late, Johnathan Gray has been the star of Cornell, as he had 20 points in Friday's win over Dartmouth. He was notably the high point man for the Big Red against their last meeting against Harvard in February, scoring 14.

Drew Ferry has been the most consistent Cornell player as he leads the team with 11.5 points per game. Chris Wroblewski (11.3 ppg) has also been a consistent player for an inconsistent Cornell squad.
