<p>New England Patriots second-year tight end Aaron Hernandez has suffered from an MCL sprain, and according to reports, could miss as long as 4-6 weeks. Hernandez has 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns through two games in 2011.</p> <p><a href="https://www.patspulpit.com/" class="sbn-auto-link">New England Patriots</a> second-year tight end <span>Aaron Hernandez</span> has suffered from an MCL sprain, and according to reports, could miss as long as 4-6 weeks. Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe first reported the injury on Monday afternoon.</p>

<p>While Young reported the possibility of missing 1-2 weeks, but CSNNE's Tom E. Curran reports on Twitter that the timetable for Hernandez's return could be much longer.</p>

<p>Hernandez left Sunday's game against the <a href="http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/teams/san-diego-chargers" class="sbn-auto-link">San Diego Chargers</a> - a 35-21 win for the Patriots - in the second half and limped into the locker room. Hernandez had seven catches for 62 yards and a touchdown in the win.</p>
<p>In 16 career games with the Patriots, Hernandez has 728 receiving yards and eight touchdown catches. This season, Hernandez has 13 catches for 165 yards and two touchdowns through two games.</p>
