Carson, CA (Sports Network) - Chivas USA rolled to a 3-0 win over the New England Revolution on Saturday at The Home Depot Center.

First-half goals from Nick LaBrocca and Marcos Mondaini handed the Goats a two-goal lead at halftime, with Alejandro Moreno capping the scoring in the 57th minute for Chivas, which has won its last two games after starting the season on a five-game winless run.

The Revolution (2-3-3) has lost three of its last four games and was well below par on Saturday.

The scoring started in the 22nd minute with LaBrocca slipping between two Revs defenders at the near post and heading home a cross from Ben Zemanski, who then had a header saved from close range in the 35th.

But Chivas (2-2-3) doubled its lead right before the break when Moreno's cross was finished off in front of goal by an acrobatic volley from Mondaini, who scored for the first time in MLS.

New England then made an absolute mess of a clearance in the 57th minute to hand Moreno his third goal of the season with the Chivas striker pouncing on a loose ball seven yards from goal and easily beating goalkeeper Bobby Shuttleworth.

Carson, CA (Sports Network) - Chivas USA earned its first win this season last week, and first-year manager Robin Fraser believes "we got the monkey off our back."

Chivas (1-2-3) will try to build on a 2-1 win at the San Jose Earthquakes when the New England Revolution (2-2-3) visit The Home Depot Center on Saturday in Major League Soccer.

Although Fraser was excited to get his first win as head coach, he knows there is a long season still ahead.

"We still have a lot of games left, so it's not like we can say that we've got our win and now we can relax," Fraser said.

"Let's keep it in perspective. It's one win."

Chivas only has six points from six matches, already nine points behind first- place Los Angeles, and six behind second place Real Salt Lake - two teams with four wins already this season.

L.A. has played eight games already, but Real has played just four.

"There are a lot of teams in this league that have four wins already. We still have a lot of work to do," Fraser said.

Chivas has improved since the first two weeks of the season, when it lost to Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids. Chivas tied Toronto FC, Columbus and Vancouver in its next three games, then added its first win last week.

Chivas goalkeeper Dan Kennedy believes Chivas is "just starting to take those steps now" toward becoming a solid team and a five-game unbeaten streak early in the season would back up his claims.

New England had dropped two straight before beating Sporting Kansas City, 3-2, last week. U.S. midfielder Benny Feilhaber made his MLS debut last weekend for the Revolution, and set up the opening goal.

Feilhaber will definitely provide an key option in midfield for manager Steve Nicol and New England, which edged D.C. United 3-2 on Tuesday in a U.S. Open Cup qualifier.

"You see the quality he has," Nicol said. "And that affects the opposition, as well, because they don't know whether to stand off or close him down. And, obviously, with his teammates it's good knowing you're getting a guy the ball who's nine times out of 10, he's not losing it.

"So, he made a big impact."
