The 2011 NFL playoff odds have been released, and while most of the spreads are small, as you'd expect in the postseason, there is an outlier: the New Orleans Saints are 12-point favorites against the Seattle Seahawks. Keep in mind, the Saints are the road team in that game.

The Saints opened as 10.5-point favorites and are currently giving 12 points at 5Dimes.com. The Seahawks, at 7-9, are the first team with a losing record to qualify for the NFL playoffs. But New Orleans isn't the only road team favored -- the Baltimore Ravens are giving one point at Kansas City.

Besides the Saints-Seahawks game, the rest of the lines range from -1 to -3 (depending where you look), which essentially makes the other three Wild Card games pick 'ems.

2011 NFL Playoff Odds for Wild Card Weekend:

Saints (-12) at Seahawks

Jets at Colts (-2.5)

Ravens (-1) at Chiefs

Packers at Eagles (-1)

The winner of Sunday night's game, and thus the NFC West, is the Seattle Seahawks -- they defeated the St. Louis Rams, 16-6. The Seahawks, who finished the regular season at 7-9, are the first team with a losing record to make the NFL playoffs in a non-strike shortened season.

So while Seattle heads to the playoffs, the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, both 10-6, are headed home right now.

The Seahawks' win means that they'll host the New Orleans Saints in the Wild Card round.

While we wait for the Rams and Seahawks to determine the NFC West and the final playoff entrant from the NFC, we can look ahead to the schedule of the first round of the NFL playoffs.

Sunday afternoon's finals gave us our final look at the NFL playoff picture: the Colts won their game against the Titans, giving them the AFC South title and the No. 3 seed, knocking the Chiefs down to the No. 4 spot in the process. (Considering Indy was 6-6 at one point this season, that's no small feat.) The banged-up Jaguars lost their game to Houston, ending their playoff hopes.

In the NFC, the Giants did their part in beating the Redskins but it mattered not because Green Bay held on for a 10-3 over the Bears, meaning the Packers are in as the No. 6 seed, while 10-6 New York is left wondering what could have been.

2011 NFL Playoff Schedule:

AFC

No. 6 Jets at No. 3 Colts

NFC

On Wild Card game from each conference will be played Saturday, Jan. 8 (one in the afternoon and one at night), with the other two games set for Sunday, Jan. 9.

The Divisional Round is set for Jan. 15-16. The times should be released later Sunday night.
