The Boston Red Sox will look to avoid a series sweep and be a pennant-race spoiler Sunday, as they face the Baltimore Orioles in the finale of a three-game series at Camden Yards. The Orioles (91-67) need a victory to keep the pressure on the New York Yankees, who are locked in a race with Baltimore for the American League East Division title, and shrink its magic number to clinch a postseason berth to one.
The Red Sox (69-89) have done a poor job of helping out their long-time rival, the Yankees, as they've dropped the first two games of this set. Though, the tides could turn Monday when Boston begins a season-ending three-game series at New York.
Righty Zach Stewart (1-3) will be Boston's starter Sunday as he opposes veteran left-hander Joe Saunders (8-13). Stewart is trying to rebound from a poor performance in his last outing -- nine runs on 10 hits in three innings -- while Saunders has be credited with losses in two of his last three starts.
First pitch is schedule for 1:35 p.m. ET while the broadcast of the game will begin at 1:30 p.m. on NESN.
