The New England Patriots clinched their fourth consecutive AFC East title on Sunday but suffered a blow to their depth at wide receiver as Julian Edelman left the game in the fourth quarter with a foot injury.
The wide receiver was seen after the game wearing a walking boot and using crutches. If Edelman, who has been a third option at receiver, is out for an extended stint, the Patriots will have to figure out a way to add depth for Tom Brady to distribute the ball to. The Patriots are already without tight end Rob Gronkowski, who is sidelined with a broken forearm.
Both Chandler Jones and Logan Mankins are still dealing with ankle injuries that have kept them from action recently and their status for Week 14 is unknown this early in the week. Guard Mitch Petrus was inactive for the win over Miami on Sunday with an illness and it is not known yet what his status will be for Week 14.
The Patriots are back in action next Monday when they play host to the Houston Texans.
