New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance in Week 14 against the Houston Texans.

Brady completed 21-35 pass attempts for 296 yards and four touchdowns in the Patriots' dominating 42-14 win over the Texans on Monday night.

This is the third time Brady has been named the AFC's Offensive Player of the Week this season, as he earned the honor following Weeks 4 and 8. In Week 4, he completed 22-36 passes for 340 yards and three touchdowns in 52-28 victory over the Buffalo Bills. In Week 8, he went 23-35 for 304 yards and four touchdowns against the St. Louis Rams.

Brady has now collected 23 Offensive Player of the Week honors in his career, which sets a new NFL record.

In addition to the individual accolade, Brady's strong performance against Houston also improves New England's standing in the AFC. The Patriots currently sit in second place in the conference and are now only a game back of the Texans for first place.
