New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib left Monday night's victory, 42-14, over the Houston Texans with a hip injury and did not return. About 12 hours later, there's still no update on the status of Talib who did not play in the second half.
The five-year veteran, which was acquired in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 1, was injured when he tried to disrupt a pass attempt in the second quarter.
Also injured in New England's seventh consecutive victory was cornerback Alfonzo Dennard, who suffered a hamstring injury in the fourth quarter. By that time, however, the Patriots had the game well in hand.
No other Patriots injuries occurred Monday, but New England still is waiting on the return of All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski (forearm), who's schedule to return sometime in December; while guard Nick McDonald (shoulder0 and tackle Markus Zusevics (illness) are still questionable to return this Sunday against the visiting San Francisco 49ers.
