Logan Mankins injury: Patriots guard hurts leg, questionable to return

New England Patriots left guard Logan Mankins limped to the sideline during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.

The Bills sacked Tom Brady, but on the play, Mankins had his ankle rolled on, according to the Boston Herald's Jeff Howe.

Mankins is considered one of the toughest players in the NFL. Last season, Mankins tore his ACL in September and did not miss a single game, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Mankins, 30, is a four-time Pro Bowler. In his eight-year career, Mankins has started 109 games -- including all 16 in his rookie season in 2005.

The 6'4 California native was a first-round draft pick in 2005. He was drafted 32nd overall. Mankins was a first-team All-Pro in 2010.

The Patriots hold a 24-17 lead over the Bills in the third quarter. With more than eight minutes left in the quarter, the Patriots are in Bills territory.
