Six members of the New England Patriots did not participate in Thursday's practice, as the Patriots get ready to take on the St. Louis Rams in London.

Offensively, Aaron Hernandez and Brandon Bolden sat out Thursday's practice. Hernandez did not participate because of an ankle injury, while Bolden missed practice because of a knee injury. Hernandez suffered an ankle injury in New England's Week 2 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and hasn't been fully healthy since.

Defensively, Ras-I Dowling (thigh), Steve Gregory (hip), Trevor Scott (hamstring) and Tracy White (foot) did not participate in Thursday's practice.

Bill Belichick listed 12 Patriots as limited in practice on Thursday. Ron Brace (back), Patrick Chung (shoulder), Julian Edleman (hand), Rob Gronkowski (hip), Dont'a Hightower (hamstring), Brandon Lloyd (knee), Logan Mankins (calf/hip), Jerod Mayo (illness/elbow), Nick McDonald (shoulder), Sterling Moore (knee), Sebastian Vollmer (back/knee) and Wes Welker (ankle) filled out the group.

New England will have a bye week in Week 9, so New England's ailing players will have a week to rest their nagging injuries following the Patriots' Week 8 contest against the Rams on Sunday.
