In Week 8, the NFL season heats up with terrific games dotting the landscape.
London, England, will host a game, with the New England Patriots and St. Louis Rams getting the opportunity to play overseas. New England has been in this position once before, pounding the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 35-7, back in 2009.
Conversely, the Rams have never played anywhere but in the United States. St. Louis will be considered the home team in the contest at the venerable Wembley Stadium. Not surprisingly, both teams will have a much-needed bye next week.
In the NFC, the unbeaten Atlanta Falcons take on the struggling Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Newly-minted defensive coordinator Todd Bowles will be tested right away with the likes of Julio Jones and Roddy White on a potent Atlanta offense.
Once the late games begin, the marquee matchup features the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. Tony Romo and company beat Big Blue in the season opener, 24-17, at MetLife Stadium and are looking for the sweep. However, the Giants are looking to make it two consecutive NFC East victories with a win against Dallas.
