The New England Patriots saw tight end Aaron Hernandez and linebacker Dont'a Hightower on the practice field on Wednesday. Both players missed the Patriots' 31-21 Week 5 victory over the Denver Broncos. Hightower injured his hamstring in New England's Week 4 win over the Bills and Hernandez injured his ankle in Week 2. Neither player has played in a game since suffering their initial injury.
Also on the practice field on Wednesday was tight end Rob Gronkowski. Gronk has been dealing with hip pain, but has not missed any game time for New England.
Missing practice for the Patriots on Wednesday were linebacker Tracy White (foot), safety Steve Gregory (hip), wide receiver Julian Edelman (hand) and tight end Michael Hoomanawanui (concussion). White injured his foot against the Broncos and the other three did not play in Week 5.
