Revolution Vs. Rapids Score Update: Cardenas Wondergoal Puts New England Up 2-1

The New England Revolution responded well to adversity by scoring an equalizer just minutes after going down 0-1 at home to the Colorado Rapids. It only took them another ten minutes to take the lead.

Fernando Cardenas, who sounded off about a lack of playing time earlier this week, put his money where his mouth is and pulled off a highlight-worthy strike to put the Revs in the driver's seat. In the 39th minute, Saer Sene dribbled to the edge of the box and then laid the ball off to the right for Cardenas. The diminutive Colombian pulled some trademark quick-feet moves before cutting inside and then using his left foot to lift a curler on frame. It appeared to be right at Matt Pickens, but the ball floated just over the keeper's outstretched hand before clipping the underside of the crossbar and nestling in the back of the net.
