The New England Revolution wasted little time hopping back into the driver's seat in the second half in Foxboro on Saturday night. French striker Saer Sene continued his torrid start to the season by scoring his second goal of the match - and sixth of the year - in the 57th minute.
The goal was one born out of Sene's deceptive quickness and heads-up play. Bobby Boswell dwelt on the ball a bit too long near the center line, allowing Sene to nick the ball off his feet. Sene then used his long gait to put distance between himself and the Dynamo defense. After nearly reaching the byline in the left of the box, he finally ripped a little curler over Tally Hall's shoulder and into the net.
The excitement didn't end there, however, as a fight nearly broke out in the early 60 minutes. Calen Carr, who had been developing some bad blood with Lee Nguyen throughout the match, fouled the Revs' winger in open space. Benny Feilhaber took offense, charging across the field to confront the Dynamo man, and a shoving match ensued between him and Bobby Boswell. Carr, Feilhaber, and Boswell received cards, and several other players from both sides became involved.
