Revolution Vs. DC United Score Update: Moreno's First MLS Goal Puts New England Up 1-0

It took just six minutes for Jose Moreno to let everyone know exactly why Jay Heaps and the rest of the New England Revolution front office staff were so happy to have him in Foxboro.

Lee Nguyen received the ball at midfield and played an excellent leading ball down the left side to Saer Sene. The Frenchman, New England's leading goalscorer, played an excellent left-footed cross to the middle of the box. Unmarked at the edge of the six-yard box, Pepe Moreno leaped and buried the cross with a first-time right-footed volley, announcing his arrival to the league.

Moreno's goal came right on the heels of a dangerous sequence from DC in which several players managed to get shots off from just outside the box, but it was Dwayne De Rosario who forced a good save out of Matt Reis when his rasping drive nearly found the top left corner. Both teams have looked hungry in the early going.
