The New England Revolution announced the acquisition of Colombian forward Jose Moreno on loan on Feb. 2 (via New England Revolution). Terms of the deal were not disclosed per club and league policy. However, Moreno was not signed as a Designated Player.
Revs general manager Michael Burns said that Moreno was a player the club has had their eye on.
"Jose is a player we targeted during a recent scouting trip and we are excited to be able to complete a deal with him to bring him to New England," General Manager Michael Burns said. "He's a strong, target forward who has a lot of experience playing at the highest levels in both South America and Europe. We're looking forward to his arrival as soon as the Visa process is completed."
Moreno spent half of last season with Once Caldas. He scored seven goals and four assists in 20 appearances with the Colombian side. The 30-year-old veteran has spent most of his professional career since 2005 on loan.
