New England Revolution Defeat BC Eagles 2-1 In Preseason Match

The New England Revolution defeated the Boston College Eagles 2-1 in a preseason match on Wednesday afternoon at Gillette Stadium. The win, the second in a row over BC, moved the Revs to 3-0-0 this preseason.

Once again, rookie Kelyn Rowe was the hero. Rowe had two goals in the match on Feb. 10. Today, he delivered both assists for the Revolution. Rowe assisted on Alec Purdie's 28th minute marker and again on the game-winner by captain Shalrie Joseph in the 52nd minute. Diego Medina-Mendez scored for the Eagles in the 33rd minute.

New England will next take their perfect preseason record to Arizona as they prepare to play in the FC Tucson Desert Diamond Cup. The Revs will face the LA Galaxy, New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake in the preseason tournament which runs from Feb. 22-March 3.
