VIDEO: Manchester United Opens Pre-Season Slate With Revolution

The English Premier League season is still a ways away, but Manchester United isn't wasting any time getting ready for it. Their four-game United States pre-season swing is set to start Wednesday night at Gillette Stadium when they face off with the hapless New England Revolution in a friendly.

With the U.S. Women's National Team having advanced to the finals of the Women's World Cup earlier in the afternoon, soccer fever should be at an all-time high in Foxboro as the world's most famous Football Club makes a 3,500-mile journey to the home of rebellion to take the pitch against the Revs.

New England has had a difficult season, sitting last in the MLS' Eastern Conference and not having won in their last eight matches.

While this one doesn't count in the standings, it isn't likely to be a chance for the Revolution to break the winless skid.
