New England Patriots Mini-Camp 2012: Guard Brian Waters Excused For Personal Reasons

New England Patriots guard Brian Waters has been excused from the team's mini-camp this week due to personal reasons, coach Bill Belichick told reporters Tuesday.

According to Nick Underhill of MassLive.com, Belichick was evasive when asked whether Waters would play at all this season. The 35-year old was voted a starter in the 2011 Pro Bowl after starting every game for the Patriots during his first season with the team. It was his sixth Pro Bowl appearance after having made it five times with the Kansas City Chiefs.

After falling in the Super Bowl, Waters told the Boston Globe he would take 2-3 weeks to decide whether he would return for another season or retire after his 12th NFL season. He is under contract for one more season with the Patriots.
