NFL Free Agency 2012: WR Jabar Gaffney Returning To Patriots, According To Report

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Jabar Gaffney was released by the Washington Redskins on May 1. Does that set up his potential return to New England? According to a report, Gaffney has already decided to sign a deal with the Pats (via Josina Anderson's Twitter).

Gaffney reportedly sent Anderson a text which said

"I'm going to the Patriots."

Gaffney also indicated that he will sign his contract in the near future.

Gaffney played for New England from 2006-2009. He played 43 games for New England and started 20 games. Despite playing in his 10th season, Gaffney's yardage production last season was the highest of his career at 947 receiving yards. The former Florida Gator receiver has made 443 receptions for 5,622 yards and 24 touchdowns during the course of his career. Gaffney matched his career-high in touchdown receptions (5, 2007) last season.
