The New England Patriots have made a point to improve their defense in the 2012 NFL Draft, and for the fourth time Friday the Pats' took a defensive player, Arkansas Razorback defensive end Jake Bequette, with their third-round selection. Bequette will be another player that will hopefully bolster a New England defensive line, which on Thursday added first-round pick Chandler Jones.
Bequette (6-foot-4, 271-pounds) is said to be a tough, smart defender who is disciplined with his assignments. The knock on Bequette is he isn't the fastest (4.75 seconds 40-yard dash) and isn't very versatile. His best position is probably as a defensive end in a 4-3 scheme.
