2012 NFL Mock Draft: New England Patriots Linked To Chandler Jones And Jerel Worthy

In the latest SB Nation NFL Mock Draft by Ryan Van Bibber, the New England Patriots are slated to take Chandler Jones and Jerel Worthy with their 27th and 31st overall picks respectively.

Jones is a defensive end out of Syracuse who has been rising on draft boards in the last few weeks. For most of the process he was deemed as a likely second round selection but with the premium being put on pass-rushers, Jones is a hot commodity.

Worthy is a good looking defensive tackle from Michigan State who could really help to solidify the New England front.

Worthy has been labeled by some pundits as a man unwilling to give his best effort. Whether that's fair or not remains to be seen, but his talent can't be denied.

If these players went to the Patriots, it would be a nice start on rebuilding the defense. Bill Belichick would most certainly like a return to the glory days of Tedy Bruschi and Willie McGinest among others.
