2012 NFL Mock Draft: New England Patriots Projected To Take Mark Barron, Nick Perry In Latest Mock Draft

In the latest National Football Post 2012 NFL Mock Draft, the New England Patriots have been projected to select Alabama safety Mark Barron and USC linebacker/defensive end Nick Perry (via NFP).

We've seen both of these picks for the Patriots in a mock draft before last month. Barron was the 27th pick and Perry was the 31st pick of the first round. Here's what NFP's Wes Bunting said about Barron:

New England has had to piece together their secondary this year, but in terms of talent they could certainly use an upgrade at a number of spots. Barron is a smart, instinctive safety with good ball skills, can play in the box and be effective bumping/running with tight ends underneath.

With Perry, Bunting pointed out his versatility as well:

Perry has worked out well all post-season and is a versatile 43 DE or 34 OLB prospect who could line-up all over. His versatility on third down gives the Patriots even more options in pressure situations.
