Patriots Offseason: Pats $9.9 Million Under Salary Cap, Per PFT

According to Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio's most recent salary cap numbers, the New England Patriots are in the top half of teams when it comes to money to spend. According to Florio's numbers, the Patriots are $9.9 million under the salary cap, which makes them the richest team with less than $10 million to spend. They do have the most money to spend in the AFC East, as the Bills are $9.7 million under the cap, the Jets are $7.6 under and the Dolphins are $6.4 million under.

The Patriots have been fairly active in free agency, re-signing their own players and bringing new players in. They have re-signed wide receiver Deion Branch, guard Dan Connolly, linebacker Tracy White and others and they have brought in wide receivers Brandon Lloyd, Donte Stallworth and Anthony Gonzalez, cornerback Will Allen and others. They have also lost a few players including Mark Anderson and BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
