According to Jason La Canfora, the Patriots have announced the signing of former Indianapolis Colts receiver, Anthony Gonzalez.

Gonzalez was once a promising receiving prospect, but has been severely limited by injuries over the past few seasons. He was the Patriots first round pick, 32nd overall, in the 2007 NFL Draft and went on to rack up 94 receptions, 1,240 yards and seven touchdowns in his first two seasons with the Colts. Since then, Gonzalez has a total of five receptions for 67 yards and no touchdowns.

Gonzalez has only played 126 snaps during the last three seasons, so it's hard to expect much from the often-injured 27 year old. During his last full season in 2008 Pro Football Focus assigned him a grade of -0.3 overall.
