Super Bowl 2012, James Ihedigbo: Can't Point Fingers At Anyone

Following the New England Patriots' heartbreaking loss to the New York Giants in Super Bowl XLVI, there was a lot of finger pointing after this one. The person who is receiving the most blame for the loss is wide receiver Wes Welker, who had a crucial drop that would have give the Patriots a big first down and would have gotten them into the redzone.

However, when it's all said and done, there's nothing they can do about it. As veteran safety James Ihedigbo puts it, the entire team had something to do with this loss.

"You can never point fingers at anyone," Ihedigbo said. "You look at the plays that [Welker]‘s made all year long to put us in this position an dhow he played that game, how hard he prepared that game, and across the board. Look, we wanted it just as bad as they did. They just made some key plays there at the end and came out on top, so hats off to them." (via WEEI)

Either way, finger pointing isn't going to make anything better. The only thing's for sure is that this loss is going to sting the players on this team for a while.
