On Saturday, many New York Giants fans held their breath when they heard that starting runningback Ahmad Bradshaw was absent from the team's final walk through on Saturday. The team announced their list of inactive players for the game, and Bradshaw was not on the list. Good news for the Giants, bad for the Patriots.
In 2011, Bradshaw accounted for 659 yards and nine touchdowns in 12 games played as the Giants' primary running back. While his numbers don't appear to be all that great, they would have been better had he played all 16 games. Either way, it's great news for the G-Men.
One notable that is on the list is former Boston College linebacker Mark Herzlich. During his playing days at BC, Herzlich established himself as one of the best linebackers in school history. Not to mention, he captured the heart of many in the city of Boston when he fought his way back to football after he was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.
