2012 Super Bowl, Giants Vs. Patriots: New England Roster Features Five Starters From '08 Squad

New England Patriots fans remember the 2008 Super Bowl loss to the New York Giants well, however, the same might be said to a lot of the Patriots players, who will be playing in the Super Bowl Sunday (6:30 p.m. ET on NBC). According to Matt Pomeroy, a NFL Network Researcher, the Patriots have just five remaining starters from the '08 squad, and just one left on the defensive side of the ball -- defensive tackle Vince Wilfork.

The other four starters are: quarterback Tom Brady, wide receiver Wes Welker, offensive linemen Matt Light and Logan Mankins.

Meanwhile, the Giants have eight players on their active roster that played in five years ago in the 17-14 victory over the Patriots.
