Rob Gronkowski Injury Update: Patriots Tight End Misses Practice, According To Report

New England Patriots Pro Bowl tight end Rob Gronkowski was not at practice today according to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick (via Dan Hellie's Twitter).

Gronkowski was seen in a walking boot on the tarmac in Indianapolis on Sunday. Belichick said his tight end was "day-to-day" (via WEEI.com). Gronkowski missed practice last week and was listed last Friday as questionable for the Super Bowl against the New York Giants. it is possible that Gronkowski will not practice at all this week. He sustained the ankle injury in the win over the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.

While Belichick refused to speculate on the availability of Gronkowski for the Super Bowl, the tight end himself is certain that he will be playing on Sunday.

Gronkowski set single-season tight end records in 2011 for touchdowns (17) and receiving yards (1,327).
