Three players from New England will represent their schools in the Senior Bowl, a college football All-Star Game that takes place on Jan. 28 at 3 p.m in Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Mobile, Alabama.
Boston College Eagles defensive back Donnie Fletcher, Massachusetts Minutemen tight end Emil Igwenagu and Connecticut Huskies defensive lineman Kendall Reyes will all compete for the North team.
The North and South teams will each be coached by an entire NFL coaching staff, and more than 800 NFL general managers, head coaches, assistant coaches, scouts and other front office personnel are expected to attend the practices and/or game.
Fletcher, a 6-1, 195-pound cornerback, contributed 35 tackles and two interceptions for Boston College.
Igwenagu, a 6-2, 245-pound tight end, notched 38 catches for 375 yards and three touchdowns for UMass.
Reyes, a 6-4, 295-pound defensive tackle, had 46 tackles, including 14.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.
