Chicago Bears Interview Pats' Licht For GM Opening

Even though New England Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio declined an invitation to interview for another team's GM opening, it won't stop another Pats executive from listening.

According to Jeff Dickerson of ESPN Chicago, the Chicago Bears interviewed Patriots director of pro personnel Jason Licht for their GM opening on Monday. The Bears are looking for someone to take the spot previously filled by Jerry Angelo, who was fired on Jan. 3 after 11 seasons with the team.

Licht is reportedly one of four candidates being considered by the Bears, including Kansas City Chiefs director of college scouting Phil Emery, San Diego Chargers director of player personnel Jimmy Raye, and New York Giants director of college scouting Marc Ross.

Licht is currently in his second season with the Patriots, having taken the job of director of pro personnel in 2009. Licht has been in the Patriots organization since 1999.
