Robert Kraft, Patriots Invite Family Of Fallen Firefighter To Broncos Game

Robert Kraft and the New England Patriots have done so much or the football community. Myra Kraft, the late wife of Bob Kraft, was a lifelong philanthropist. The Patriots host the local high school Super Bowls at Gillette Stadium. Do we even need to mention the many charities and community outreach? The list goes on and on.

Kraft's latest act of kindess came in the form of an invitation to the family of James Rice, a Peabody firefighter who died at age 42 in the line of duty on December 23. Rice was responding to a fire on Hancock Street, which was caused by an electrical problem. Rice was buried one week later. He was an 11-year veteran of the fire department.

Rice is survived by his wife, Amy, and three children. Kraft and the Patriots invited Rice's family to be the team's special guests for the team's playoff game against the Denver Broncos on Saturday at Gillette Stadium. Rice's family will likely sit with Kraft in the owner's box.
