The Bills have taken a quick 7-0 lead on the Patriots thanks to a fake punt and a huge defensive pass interference call on safety Antwaun Molden.
With the Pats winning the coin toss and, as usual, electing to defer, Ryan Fitzpatrick started strong by finding Derek Hagan for 11 yards and a first down on the Bills' second play from scrimmage. His next pass, however, fell incomplete, setting up 3rd-and-6 play where the returning Patrick Chung would make himself known, laying out Steve Johnson a yard short of the first down.
Having been held short on third down, the Bills came out in punt formation and seemed ready to give the ball to the Patriots for the first time. Instead, however, the call was for a direct snap to George Wilson, who rushed forward to pick up the first down on the fake. The extra set of downs was all the Bills needed, as Fitzpatrick launched a deep pass to Hagan, who fell to the ground as Antwaun Moldin made contact very early, drawing a pass interference call.
Just four yards out now, the Bills turned to Tashard Choice, who punched through the Patriots' defensive line and into the end zone to makeit 7-0, Bills.
