New England Patriots defensive end Andre Carter has been fined $15,000 for his hit on San Diego Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers during Sunday's 35-24 win last Sunday at Gillette Stadium.
Carter received a 15-yard roughing the passer penalty after he took hold of Rivers and threw him into the ground in the second quarter. According to Carter, it was only the second fine he's ever received in the league.
