NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Patriots Ranked No. 3 After Big Win In Miami

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots blew the doors off the Miami Dolphins in the season opener on Monday night in Miami, coasting to a 38-24 win. Brady threw for 517 yards in the win, placing him fifth all-time in single game passing yards.

Tom Brady and the New England Patriots blew the doors off the Miami Dolphins in the season opener on Monday night in Miami, coasting to a 38-24 win. Brady threw for 517 yards and four touchdowns in the win, placing hism fifth all-time in single game passing yards in NFL history.

As a result of their hard work, the Patriots were ranked No. 3 in the NFL Power Rankings for Week 2 from SB Nation, with only the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens ranked higher than Brady and company.

3. New England Patriots (LW: 3): So...that Tom Brady guy. Not bad, huh? Only 517 yards passing in Week 1.  

New England was also ranked third in the preseason NFL Power Rankings from SB Nation, while Green Bay was ranked first and the Ravens began the season ranked No. 8. The Philadelphia Eagles, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, San Diego Chargers, Chicago Bears and Atlanta Falcons round out the top ten.

Kerry Collins and the Indianapolis Colts were ranked No. 29 and the Carolina Panthers, Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos round out the bottom of SB Nation's power rankings.
