It barely needs to be mentioned that we at SBNation aren't fans of Barstool Sports, but in the interest of full disclosure, here it is anyway:
At SBNation, we aren't fans of Barstool Sports. At least I'm not.
I don't consider them competition, because their brand of smut and empty-of-integrity fourth-grade writing makes anyone who has ever considered themselves a journalist look bad.
So I wasn't really surprised to find out that Dave Portnoy or Putnam or whatever his name is is now posting child pornography, even if it's Tom Brady's baby. And I certainly wasn't surprised to find out that he re-posted the image just hours after taking it down.
Brady will surely be fine - though wouldn't it be fun to see him stick Logan Mankins on Portnam? - and Gisele will likely make it, as well. The kid, no doubt, will be alright until he gets to junior high and everyone plasters his naked two-year-old body all over the walls of the school.
The kid shouldn't be subjected to it, but neither should the internet be subjected to Patmark's garbage.
Unfortunately, as David E. Frank writes here, the Bradys don't have much of a case against Pallmall, which is a huge shame, because there are countless female college athletes deserving of viable profiles instead of being turned into cult objects of worship out there, and Pedonoy getting put in the slammer would help them get the respect that they deserve, too.
Actually, a civil suit against Pednam might be the best - if he's deemed to owe millions, it might forever hinder the efforts over at Barstool and turn it into just another online also-ran, putting it back into the category that it really belongs.
