Myra Kraft, Wife Of Patriots' Owner, Dies

Myra Hiatt Kraft, the wife of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, has passed away at the age of 68 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was a philanthropist and a true public servant.

"Words cannot express the deep sorrow that we feel in learning of the passing of Myra Hiatt Kraft,'' the team said. "Myra passed away early this morning after a courageous battle with cancer. We are all heartbroken. The global philanthropic community and the New England Patriots family have suffered a great loss." (via Patriots.com)

Kraft used her powerful name for good, as her husband's name helped her serve the community and the couple was considered one of Boston's most influential and generous.

"You call someone, they get right back to you," she told The Boston Globe in 1997. "Even if they think you're calling for money." (via Boston Globe)
