2011 NFL Draft Results: Patriots Take Lee Smith At No. 159 Overall

Lee Smith, a 6'6", 267-pound senior tight end from Marshall, was the New England Patriots selection with the No. 159 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft on Saturday afternoon at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Smith amassed 791 career receiving yards and three touchdowns on 75 catches in four seasons with the Thundering Herd. Smith has a career year in 2010, finishing with 358 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 38 catches.

In 2010, Smith recorded more than thirty receiving yards in five games. Smith's best game of the season came against UAB on November 6, making nine catches for 81 yards and two touchdowns in Marshall's 31-17 victory.
