2012 Pro Bowl Selections: Tom Brady, Wes Welker Among Patriots' Eight Selections

Eight Patriots players have been selected for the 2012 Pro Bowl. Tom Brady, Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, Logan Mankins, Andre Carter, Matthew Slater, Brian Waters and Vince Wilork were all selected.

The New England Patriots landed eight players on the roster for the 2012 Pro Bowl. The game will be played at 7 p.m. (TV: NBC) on Jan. 29, 2012 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The following Patriots were selected (via Patriots Twitter): quarterback Tom Brady, wide receiver Wes Welker, tight end Rob Gronkowski, guard Logan Mankins, defensive end Andre Carter, wide receiver Matthew Slater, guard Brian Waters and nose tackle Vince Wilfork. Slater was selected as a special teams player, the other seven players were selected as starters at their positions.

The Patriots dominated the fan vote. Quarterback Tom Brady, wide receiver Wes Welker, tight end Rob Gronkowski, guard Logan Mankins and defensive end Andre Carter led their positions in the fan vote.

The fan vote ended on Dec. 19 but the official selections were not announced until on Dec. 27 at 7 p.m. on NFL Network's NFL Total Access 2012 Pro Bowl Selection Show.
