VIDEO: Patriots Return Botched Extra Point For No Points

After Tim Tebow's touchdown to give the Denver Broncos a 6-0 lead over the New England Patriots, the Broncos botched the extra point when the hold on the kick could not be secured. The Patriots picked up the ball and tried to run it back for a one-point safety, except that the point didn't count as the botched snap could not be advanced on the play and the play was immediately blown dead.

Rules aside, it was an exciting return for the Patriots which involved a last-ditch lateral to avoid being down.

Although the point did not count, the Patriots avoided going down by a score of 7-0 due to the botched hold. The play will go down officially as an unsuccessful kick for Matt Prater.
