Andre Carter Injury: Patriots DE Out For The Game With Knee Injury

The New England Patriots lost defensive end Andre Carter in the first quarter in their game against the Denver Broncos at Sports Authority Field on Sunday. Carter was taken off the field on a cart with a left knee injury.

Carter was engaged was a couple of players and went down at the end of the play and grabbed his knee. After being carted off the field, he was ruled out for the rest of the game:

The Patriots could ill afford Carter to go out as he has played like their best defender. New England has had a hard time stopping the rushing attack of the Broncos so far in the game.

Carter leads the Patriots this season with 10 sacks. He also has 52 tackles and 2 forced fumbles this season.
