Week 12 NFL Power Rankings: Patriots Make Small Jump In Polls

The New England Patriots earned a dominating 34-3 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night. Move much did the win help the Pats in the Week 12 NFL Power Rankings? Find out.

Behind another stellar performance from tight end Rob Gronkowski -- four catches, 96 yards and two touchdowns -- the New England Patriots clobber the Kansas City Chiefs Monday night, 34-3, in a AFC East showdown at Gillette Stadium. The victory helped the Pats improve to 7-3 overall and now have a two-game lead in the AFC East Standings over the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills, which are each 5-5 overall.

On Tuesday morning, however, New England wasn't reward much for its effort as most of the nation's Week 12 NFL Power Rankings don't have the Pats moving up a lot.

According to NFL.com, New England jumped from No. 7 last week to No. 6 this week. Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk kept the Patriots at No. 4 overall, while SI.com's Peter King, who posted his rankings Monday before New England's victory, had the Pats jumping from No. 8 to No. 6.
