Rex Ryan Fined $75,000 For Swearing

It's unimaginable to think that four words could cost one person $75,000, an amount of money that most of us do not make in a year. But some can afford to run their mouth to the tune of $18,750 per word, like New York Jets coach Rex Ryan.

Ryan was fined $75,000 for his comments directed towards a fan as he and the Jets entered the locker room in their game against the New England Patriots last Sunday. When a fan yelled, "Hey Rex, Bill Belichick Is Better Than You," Ryan responded with the following four words: "Shut the [expletive] up."

He apologized for the cursing last Monday when there was video that showed the incident [WARNING: Graphic Language], saying "I obviously, you know, made a mistake. I was full of emotion and just popped off, and obviously I know I represent the National Football League and I know I represent the Jets. I know it was a mistake and I apologize. This is who I am. I made a mistake" (quote via WEEI).
