The Patriots get the Chiefs on Monday Night Football, which comes without much of the hype or intrigue of last week's matchup with the Jets, despite being a prime time game with a national audience.
Patriots fans will recognize a lot of the Chiefs organization from it's New England roots, starting with general manager Scott Pioli and defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel. One old friend who will not be playing is quarterback Matt Cassel. Cassel, who was a suprise Pro Bowl selection a year ago, is out with an injury.
And that brings us to this game. The Chiefs will start Tyler Palko, who is better known as "The Guy Who Beat Out Joe Flacco at Pittsburgh and Was Then Never Heard From Again Until Last Week." The Patriots embattled defense was able to shut down the Jets last week, and should have another easy(-ish) week against banged up Kansas City, which already lost starting running back Jamaal Charles at the beginning of the season.
With the Jets and Bills each losing this week and dropping to 5-5, New England can take a two-game lead in the AFC East with a win, which would get the team to 7-3.
Game Time: Monday, Nov. 21 at 8:30 p.m. ET
Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, Mass.
TV Schedule: ESPN (National)
Announcers: Mike Tirico, Jon Gruden, Ron Jaworski
